When I was a sophomore in high school, I was given an art assignment showing economic growth through sales, so I came up with salesman approach and drew a mustache with arms, legs, and riding a “penny farther” carrying a briefcase full of beef jerky, going from business to business selling his goods, Mr. Mustachio was starting to gain popularity, he soon made enough money to buy a market cart, this idea would certainly help him make more sales. 

To catch you up, this story took place in 1864 in the Greater Philadelphia Pennsylvania area, as the civil war comes to an end there became a need for more canned food and nonperishable food items, just like Beef jerky! as Mr. Mustachio went store to store and all through the city, until he made enough money to purchase an old factory and with that he filled the air with the smell of hickory smoked meats and the scent of spices and beef jerky, that kept families fed and spirits high throughout the city.

Then tragedy struck. A winter blaze reduced the factory to ashes, and his treasured recipes were thought lost forever. More than a century later, a scorched tin box emerged from the rubble-inside, the original recipes, preserved like a ghost from the past known as Mr. Mustachio
